Fridays, 7 till 9
Come once. Decide nothing.
Food, a pool table, a loud half hour and a quieter one. You won't be asked to pray, to sign anything, or to say what you believe. Bring a friend or turn up on your own — both are completely normal here.
What a Friday actually is
7:00 — Doors, food, and nobody making you join in with anything yet
7:30 — Games, and loud. This is most of why people come, which is fine
8:15 — Twenty minutes of sitting down and talking about something
8:35 — Back to the pool table, or outside if it's dry
9:00 — Out — and we wait with anybody whose lift is late, every single time
Any of it — You can skip. Sitting at the side on your phone is allowed
7:30 — Games, and loud. This is most of why people come, which is fine

For parents — how this is kept safe
Every adult is checked — Background-checked and referenced before their first session. No exceptions
Never one adult alone — There are always two, and never one adult alone with a young person
No private messaging — Leaders don't message under-18s one to one. Group chats have two adults in them
No photos without consent — In writing, per child, from you — and withdrawable at any time without a reason
Who to tell — A named safeguarding lead who is deliberately not the youth leader. Address below
If we get it wrong — Tell us, or tell them. We would far rather hear it from you than not hear it

Single anybody out — No standing up, no being volunteered, no going round the circle
Push for a decision — There is no point in the evening where anybody is asked to commit to something
Charge for it — Fridays are free. On trips nobody misses out over money — just say, quietly
Share your details — Not with anybody, not for anything, ever
Report back to your parents — Unless somebody is at risk — and then we'll tell you that we're doing it
