Heating & air conditioning · service and repair

Book it in April. Not in July.

Every trade in this business is drowning in the first heatwave and the first frost. Booked in the quiet months, a service costs less and happens on a day you chose.

Why the month matters more than the price
Spring and autumn — Next-week appointments, a time slot you pick, and the shoulder-season rate
First heatwave, first frost — Everyone calls at once. Emergency rate, and a wait measured in days
A service in the quiet months — Finds the failing capacitor before it strands you in August
What we won't do — Pretend we can reach everyone in a heatwave. We give you the real date
This is the whole reason the page exists. If you only ever call us when it breaks, you are buying the most expensive version of our time.

What a service actually includes

Clean

Filters, coils and condensate drain — the three things that cause most breakdowns.

Performance test

Temperature split measured and recorded, so next year's reading means something.

Refrigerant

Pressures and a leak check. Any top-up is logged as regulations require.

Electrical

Contactors, capacitors and connections — where the failures actually start.

Written report

What we found, what we changed, and what we are watching. Emailed the same day.

No upsell

If nothing needs doing, the report says nothing needs doing.

Repair or replace — how we decide
Under 8 years old — Almost always repair. Parts are available and the system has years left
8 to 15 years — Depends on the part. We give you both numbers and the honest odds
Over 15, big repair — Usually a replacement conversation, and we say so even though the repair is easier money
Refrigerant type — Some older gases are being phased out. That changes the maths and we explain how
Our rule — If we would not spend it on our own house, we tell you that

Book a service

Picking “any time” genuinely does get you the shoulder-season rate. It is not a trick question.
